Just had a look at the final Championship table and Millwall survived with 44 points - is that unusual?
Its more common than you might think In the last 10 seasons 44 points would have kept you up for definite 5 times and a 6th on Goal difference 2 seasons out of 10, 50 points wasn't enough, we needed 55 points to stay up one season (peterboro went down on 54) and one other season 52 points were needed
But for Jedinak scoring against Peterborough in the 89th minute we would have gone down with 55 points In fact different result combinations on the last day Peterborough and us both winning would have sent Millwall down on 56 points Peterborough and Us Winning and Millwall not losing would have sent Huddersfield down on 57 It was really a freak season
We survived thanks to Pompey losing points and I would not be at all surprised if 21st maybe 22nd stay up for same reason.
