Exactly. Why should the already-privileged get a free pass because they are privileged? Is this the society we really want to create? Boris Becker commits fraud: let's get him litter-picking, he's wasted inside. Joe Public commits fraud: bang him up, the scrote.

Boris has debts. People are more likely to get paid back if he isn't locked up. There are ways to severely punish him without locking him up. Those owed money by him would probably prefer him out earning with commentary work, after dinner work and his other opportunities so they would be more likely to see what they are owed.

The punishment fits the crime. Regardless of whether you're a millionaire or penniless. Boris has had plenty of opportunity to pay those people back, but he hasn't, he's carried on doing what he's been doing. And now he will hopefully learn a valuable lesson from it.

But thats exactly the point. He hasnt paid anybody back. He has been convicted of concealing his assets and lying about them so people dont get paid back and he tries to keep them. He lied about owning a Mercedes dealership which earns a sh0t load of money. Do you really think if he was let off he's suddenly going to start paying people or do you think he'd just carry on as before, galvanised by a soft judicial outcome and encourage more people to do the same by setting a bad example

This is the second best Cliffe reference in popular culture. Will never beat Max and Paddy when Paddy is jailed in a cell with a Cliff impersonator and Max says"Whats he in for" Paddy replies "Have you never heard Wired for sound"
    Absolute class :D:D
