Mate of mine supports them. Says they've sold 7,000 Season Tickets. My first (gut) reaction was to tell her that when I first watched Barnsley there, that was the total crowd, with 2,000 from Barnsley. Then I wanted to tell her that they'd bought their way to the top. Then I cottoned onto the sadness. Don't get me wrong, I think Blackburn have had alot of spending privileges (Jordan Rhodes/ Keith Hill) but when a mate of yours knows their side is on a massive down turn it's hard not to sympathise a bit.
No sympathy at all. They cant have it both ways. I can remember when they bought Rhodes from Huddersfield, proper giving it bobby big ********. Theyve cheated, plain and simple and no way ive got any sympathy with them. Sooner or later a team like Blackburn or Bolton who spent riddiculous money with nothing to back it up with, will go bust, and it wont be the worst thing moving forward. People may start to realise it cant go on...chasing the premiership dream...at all costs.
11,106 Rovers fans v Norwich and 9,879 Rovers v Burton. Friendlies att 1100 v Bury and 2100ish against Girona. The Venkys war continues.
Dont see what Venkys are gaining from owning them? Must have cost a fair bit to buy a PL club and soon, with the way its going, could have a L1 club on their hands. Must have lost a fortune. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I do not feel sorry for the club at all. If the business is mismanaged that's what you get. But I do feel sorry for genuine fans who must be distraught at their decline. They will struggle to stay up.
They were living off Rhodes & Gestede's partnership for a while whilst most of the rest of the team weren't up to scratch & now them 2's gone as well as Hanley they look doomed
They've also got a manager who's living off one good season with Burnely followed by failure upon failure. Add the fact that the fans really didn't want Coyle and you've got a recipe for disaster straight away.
