thanks for the memories. Can’t blame the lad for securing his future. Family comes first. I rate him highly as a manager but I was starting to sense he was only a few games from the sack. It wouldn’t have surprised me if we lost heavily against Wednesday that he would have been sacked. He goes to Leeds with a massive pay rise and it’s a win win. If he’s sacked he’s paid off handsomely without much of a blot on his CV. I also think he’s been angling for a move in recent months as he probably senses that he has taken us as far as he can and probably feels unsupported at times. This is obviously frustrating with new owners in place but anyone would be feeling insecure with 1 win in 16..... He’s done a brilliant job for us and wish him all the best even if it is for lufc.
I wish him personally well, and hope he gets a shitload of money to spoil his family with. Having said that, I hope Leeds tank completely.
If he goes to Leeds - then fingers crossed he is sacked within 2 weeks and never works in football again
Been great for us. All the best Hecky. Absolutely should put his family’s future before sentiment. All those saying he hasn’t been backed shouldn’t be surprised he ends up looking out for himself. If the club have any kind of brain power leading them then they will know who their 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice is. Down to them to get them. Quickly. Big test for GG and the board.
How has he been great? Sure we got promoted from LEAGUE ONE. but from there on our we have been nothing short of diabolical. He's jumping before he is pushed. 4 wins in 25 is frankly, appalling. Good riddance if you ask me.
you and your childish vitriol are no doubt part of the reason why Hecky has felt it expedient to secure his family's future-no doubt against his better nature
Promotion, JPT win, First 6 months in champ some of the best memories I have in last 30 years. Each to their own.
I doubt Hecky gives a flying **** what two tooth Charlie or whatever his name is posts on an anonymous message board.
If the owners wanted to sack him and Hecky wanted to leave, why did they offer him a new contract and why did he sign it?
So the contract offered about three weeks ago (or more) was drawn up by people who knew Leeds were going to sack their manager and offer Hecky the job?
Exactly. And why did they back him in signing Mills, Moore, McBurnie & Mahoney all who we knew were players Hecky rated as well as supporting him in selling Angus
I dont want him to leave . for the record , Saturday is very important not just because its the pigs if results go against us we are in the bottom 3 a win will be a great confidence boost which is needed by manager player and fans , if this does happen it couldn't have come at a worse time
Lets be fair. Leeds normally sack a manager every, what, 3 months. So odds on we were going to cross paths with an offer and a sacking at some point
