Ours. My heart sank when Norwood and Cole went off. I realise they were tired but I’d have picked several players ahead of Martin to come on.
A little, particularly as the players replaced had played so well. I was expecting Thomas for Phillips, who looked tired. Cole and Norwood were still occupying the Derby defence so was surprised to see them both subbed.
Trust Duff. If he’s proved anything this season it’s that he knows when to make a sub and who to bring on. Might be in the rose tinted glow of a win, but don’t remember a bad tactical decision this season…
No, we may as well rest them and avoid possible injuries. Derby didn't look like they could get back in the game at that point. Thought he might have let Devante stay on as he was on his hatrick, but I liked the way Janes waited for him to go off together. Great team spirit!
No, I wasn't worried. I didn't understand it (assuming there was no injury issues), but I would never dream of querying the actions of such a good manager. We were safe, coasting to the end of the game and Duff was right, as it didn't adversly affect the result.
I wasn’t worried and expected them to be honest. Norwood (and Cole too tbf) pressed their defence all game.
Worried? No. Meh in regards to Martin? Yes. I'm assuming Shaw has a minor knock or something? When Watters & Shaw does return, looks a fairly strong bench again. Cundy & Mccarthy to come back too (even though imo they haven't proven good enough yet). I do hope if the chance to sign Bobby Thomas comes up, we don't say no because we have Cundy & Mccarthy waiting to return because personally I rate Thomas a lot higher! But as others on this thread has said, 100% trust in Duff. And my trust in the board and CEO is going up week by week too. Very happy days so far.
Martin is a waste of a shirt. Should have brought on someone else instead of him. We should have let him go back to Norwich. There’s no fight in him.
