I know we've only played three home matches but we haven't yet played anyone with a huge following. So why do some people reckon we're punching above our weight given we've been in this division longer than any other club and our crowds are not usually in the bottom 6.
Interesting that we are watched by more than 6 clubs who have more recent Premier League experience than we have.
I don't think were punching above our weight. I do think we're behind what other clubs pay players in wages due to them paying money they cant afford e.g morsey , winnall, beevers, yiadom, Roberts and on and on
Isn't that our current actual capacity? It seems unlikely though, the two games I have attended have not had many casual home supporters turn up. It would appear that almost all the regular supporters have invested in a season ticket this term. That reminds me our replacement tickets were not in the post today so I really hope they arrive tomorrow.
In fairness, Wednesday get 8,000,000 in at Hillsborough and they're still in League One getting turned over by Morecambe and Plymouth.
Would be good to know how Luton go about it. They manage to get experience without too many over the hill players in, on a small budget.
Don't believe a word of that, u ever been to the Ricoh? What they used to read out as a crowd.....think they used to double it at least. Or have Cov played the massives twice already?
Crowds have improved in recent years, best League 1 average under Stendel for years, best average in the Championship season after for 20 years and most season tickets we've sold for 20 years this season.
There was a time when attendances had a major influence on financial clout and, therefore, the weight you punched. Nowadays that's much less the case.
Arsenal used to announce theirs based on ticket sales including season ticket holders even if they weren’t there.
Thanks. I hope I don't have to but if I have to I will go straight to the Box Office as early as possible as I expect it to be very busy.
So do we to be fair Do you remember the Game at oakwell before lockdown midweek weather was shocking ( think it was Birmingham we played) the cannot have been 6000 in ground but announced all season tickets attending
