Can this now please put to bed the absolute lunacy that he was going to come back to us after he'd signed for a Premier League club?! I really hope so.

I don't think there was ever any question. People living in hope I suppose.

West Ham have 4 competitions to play in and as it stands, he's 3rd choice striker due to injuries

He's on the bench due to injuries. Why is it lunacy? Have a good season in League one, naturally the next level is the one above. Just because he's joined another club doesn't change anything. Long term he has more chance of playing for West Ham than he did Man United. Not saying he would come but it isn't lunacy

They need a big squad with the Europa League. I don't think it's out of the question that he'll be a regular in Europe whether they have 2 strikers injured or not.

Bare in mind he's behind Andy Carroll who can't string 4 games together without his leg dropping off. He'll get plenty of game time at West ham.

Not only that how many careers have been massively kick started 'due to injuries'? Marcus Rashford being a prime example.

I wanted Fletcher here as much as the next Reds fan. He has the potential to be top class we all saw that. But this hanging on to hopes of past players coming back is becoming really boring IMO. Let's just move on and trust Hecky and Tommy. Not doing bad so far are they.

But Hecky and Tommy are interested in our past players.

That may be the case. Although if we were that interested in Isgrove he'd be here by now and we'd have no Kent and Fletcher has already moved and is getting game time.

I doubt we will though. With Lee and Yiadom more than capable of playing wide.

Andy Carroll is out for six weeks, so I think that will rule out Fletcher's return. I would like to think that the Belgian lad Jinty could be brought in. Not only can he play on either wing, but also up front.

Thanks for the constructive comment there. Care to elaborate which part is rubbish?

I would love to have him back even though goals aren't our problem, but it was never going to happen as he's the class to do a Dele Alli and go up two leagues in one go.
