Wake up with that feeling of dread? It's matchday. I did on Tuesday, was about 1 in the afternoon when I realised we weren't even playing until the next day. The dread is more like a punch to the gut at 2pm when the lineups are announced. Oduour, Frieser and poor Cauley, who I genuinely feel sorry for. We're lucky to have him and tbh I don't even know why he sticks around.
I know we’re in the middle of a pretty depressing sequence of results, but he’s being paid £10k plus a week, has been made captain, is guaranteed to start every week, and last season he played for the club that finished 25th in English Football. He’s as lucky to have us as we are to have him. A bad spell doesn’t change that.
My main feeling is apathy and boredom. Very little interest in the game while he's in charge. We are dull, boring and frankly lazy
I’m dreading seeing the team sheet. I know it will be 3-4-3. At least one of Frieser, Victor or odour starting up front. With 2 sacrificial lambs in midfield.
A team that cannot win, a soaking from a storm and Millwall booing the knee. Apart from that it should be a good afternoon.
I miss Chaplin. Never thought we would. The recruitment has been woeful this summer. We've signed 3 strikers who can't get in the side ahead of a lb who never scores.
That's the spirit. I won't stay away forever. Its just too depressing atm. Like I say, it's starts at 2pm when the lineups are announced. Today it started when I woke up. Matchday yey!
