Well its certainly not my priority at the moment. Do wish the government would do the sensible thing though and agree a delay with EU on the new arrangements as the only way we can leave in December this year will be with no deal and I dont think thats sensible given all the other chaos around. - though of course some in government may think its an ideal opportunity to hide the damage. would happily go back to worrying about the problems of getting a green card for my foreign holidays though instead of this current genuine crisis. Don't think I will be travelling abroad for the rest of this year
Happy Brexit Day everyone! Four years ago today - seems like a lifetime ago really. Hopefully the statue of Farage is well guarded.
He's over in the US. Trump brought him in to speak to the overflow crowd that couldn't get into the rally he just did. We all know how that turned out
Why the hell would we agree to another delay? Isn’t a 3year delay long enough? They’ve only offered us a 2 year delay so they get more of our money for 2yrs. Also, not sure, but if we did agree to a delay, wouldn’t that tie us into their budget for the next 7 years? Italy will be next.
Because, if you haven't noticed, there's a global pandemic going on. No deal would cripple the country. Even more than brexit with a deal would. We need a deal a lot more than the EU do. We need an extension, as nothing will be agreed before the end of the year.
That’s why I think it’s the ideal time to get out. The EU are still trying to sort out their budget for the next 7years(1.1trillion I believe) and a 750billion Covid fund(still not sorted that). Because we are leaving other countries are being asked to take up the slack and don’t like it. 27 countries, all with different opinions. Apparently they still haven’t All signed off on their Canadian FTA which they started discussing in 2007. Too much red tape.
