    The headline is 'Man Utd reject world record bid for Russo'. I was surprised to see that was 500k. Current highest is 400k I think, for Keira Walsh. Had a look out of interest, and the first 500k transfer in the men's game was back in 1968.

    How does this work BTW? Do making signings in your women's team count towards the FFP and finances of the mens team?

    At them prices you could make a dream team for ten million or so to take a club up the leagues.

    TV rights circa £10million a season, with 75% going to WPL against the madness of monies in Mens game, will always make it hard to get even close.
