That he wasn’t fired during the International break. Now by Sunday we’ll have lost another three and basically it’s more or less impossible for anyone to keep this squad up. They’ve all but guaranteed relegation.
We're 3 points off safety you mentalist. But yes schopp should go now. 2 or 3 games ago i suggested he deserved 2 or 3 more games. He's had em and we show no signs of improvement. But to suggest we are already relegated is nonsense.
You saw the Blackburn and Forest games and came to the opinion he should have more time, so I’m not convinced you ought to be calling anyone else a mentalist.
2 reasons why he didn’t go: 1) Sacking too quickly has an adverse affect on attracting new coaches. New coaches need to know they’ll have a reasonable chance to turn problematic periods around. Especially when there’s quite a few injuries. 2) Maybe they don’t want to sack him until they’ve someone lined up. Adam Murray is gone now, so less continuity. I back both points. But baring a miracle display and result against Utd on Sunday, that should be his last game. Best wishes to him, it’s not personal and we only know half the story.
Were only 10 points behind Boro who are challenging the playoffs even though we've been a total shambles under Schloppy, any half decent manager would have got our group of players another 10 points.
It’s the International break. It’s recognised that coaches get little time to coach, so at least they’re afforded that time and a few games after to put it into affect. I agree with it. However, tonight or Sunday afternoon baring a miracle should be his last game. Although I do worry it’s not just a manager issue currently.
People are right, it’s a big disappointment-fuelled overreaction for me to say we’re down already, we’re obviously not, although clearly we’ll be even further adrift after the weekend - and then even more time to find a replacement - but anyone with a hole in their arse could see it wasn’t working after Blackpool and Forest. We could and should have used the two weeks profitably to get a new manager in place and given ourselves a chance.
