If we were actually in for him that’s a shocker to miss out to posh.

They released a “periscope” session with the chairman, manager, directors and Barry fry where they spoke for an hour on their plans etc and the type of signings they were working on. I don’t like their chairman but they are very open with the fans.

And they can spot some cracking players.

I suppose it depends whether he wants to be going up or down at the end of next season

Whether you call him head coach, team manager or whatever the hell you want to call him - the person in charge of the first team is obviously involved in player recruitment - eg like Hecky was.
It’s his duty to work with the recruitment team to identify targets - then it’s up to other people within the club such as the CEO to go out and try and get that player.
How else would it work ?!?

What happened last summer is that all the targets for centre midfield were brought in but the strikers wernt.
Leaving us with a highly unbalanced squad.
That in itself is suspicious to me.

If the person responsible for the first team wasn’t involved in recruitment - it would be like a surgeon having his tools supplied by a welder.
That is to say - being supplied with the wrong tools to do the job.
