Those who didn't like Vals football are you glad he's going? Would you prefer the club to get compensation or let him go for nothing. For those trying to belittle our club re wages is it not true that our "star"players Mowett and Woodrow have been at Oakwell for 4 and 3 years respectively and both signed 2 extensions while under the current owners? For what its worth I'm disappointed that Vals going but football isn't a slave trade and unfortunately he's moved up the food chain.I for one don't think the board have dragged him to WBA it's down to the man himself and if he views this move has his next career move up the ladder it's all down to him. After last season he goes with my best wishes.
I expected this to be honest, we’ve had a brilliant season thanks to Val, so it’s not surprising a club higher up the pecking order comes knocking, he’s earnt it. It’s a bitter blow but credit must go to the board for identifying him in the first place, & ensuring our club reaps the benefits with a hefty £2m compensation package, which is impressive for a Manager/head coach. I remain hopeful the board can get it right again, & I think it’s better to get it out of the way now before pre season starts.
