We're relying on the results of others, but we all knew that before this restart didn't we? Beat Wigan on Saturday, with favourable results for Millwall and Brizzle tonight, and the table makes very different reading late on Saturday. If we're within striking distance with three games to go that's all we could have asked for considering we started seven points behind everyone else. Wigan is do or die. None of the games before that were.
I hope the players haven't given up. In all reality, unless Wednesday & Wigan are given 12 point deductions I think "the game is up", to quote Basil Fawlty.
I'll be happy if we can keep it alive until the last game of the season. Bearing in mind how we handicapped ourselves last summer I think that would be some achievement. I think so near but so far sums this season up for me.
I had a hope even after looking at fixtures but then I think of our defence and even if we manage a goal in a game it’s very rare our defence will hold out . It’s a no from me .
Last two results and who they came against that's the killer for me. All four games look toughies after one point in two. Hero to zero in the space of three days. Saturday is a must win as we have to keep Wigan within 12 points as they have a better goal difference.
If we dont win on Saturday we really would need to win the last 3 and I dont see that happening - we really needed to win one of the last 2 and have given us a mountain to climb now - because of the last 2 poor results Saturday now really is a must win game
It looks like Leeds is the key match. Put ex-Leeds' with a point to make Halme and Odour in the side, gegenpress all match, don't concede, and hope we get one chance to put away. Forest and Brentford will be sorted hopefully by the time we play them. Simples!
