75 years ago things were also slowly going back to normal, albeit obviously for very different reasons. As part of that, The Dutch National team played against the British "Liberation Army Team". It's hard to find a lot about the match as it obviously wasn't an official international match.

There's a very nice article written about it in Dutch, of which Google does a reasonable job translating it. I thought some of you might find it an interesting read.

The article is part of a series of articles detailing what happened 75 years ago starting on Mad Tuesday (5 September 1944) when The Netherlands thought they were about to be liberated all the way through the actual liberation (5 May 1945), the aftermath and continuing until the surrender of Japan (15 August 1945).
