We were talking to a bar owner in San Sebastián about a mass rally that was happening in front of us. He said the locals were cheesed off that the cost of living had gone up exponentially due to the shop keepers raising prices to fleece the tourists and the locals were having to pay more to put food on the table. I’m struggling to see past greedy business owners based on this.
Only been to Santa Ponsa once when the kids were little, think it was in 2010. Nice enough little place but seems to have a big Irish bias.
Only difference is, the tourists are paying for the convenience of staying in a hotel, their meals, mobile phone bills, laundry, clothing.. No comparison.

There’s loads of stickers in the walls and lamp posts in Carlton saying ‘Bossman go on holiday’. There are at least 5 new ones appearing every year.
