What we thinking? Same as Huddersfield? Does rooney go straight in? I don't know much about him but rated highly by derby fans. Does MDG go back in.

I think Rooney starts, he’s not left Derby’s bench to sit on a club in league 1’s bench.

Ogbeta Shepherd Rooney Watson for me.

If I was picking the team it would be the same back 4, Rooney would have to wait his turn.

The back four from Huddersfield have earned the right to start again

Jazza will have to be patient and wait for his opportunity.

I agree although you could argue we have only kept 1 clean sheet so far this season and Rooney was brought in to steady the defence so will be interesting to see if conor starts him.

I'd put Rooney on the bench and stick with the back four from the Huddersfield game, I'd put him on at half time or just after. MDG would only get on in a dire emergency....

Rooney can wait his turn like Russell has been made to.

Can see a case for Rooney but definitely not MDG. Hopefully he’s at the bottom of our options from now on.
Don’t think we’ll change it from the Hudds game though to be honest.

I’m in the camp of sticking with a winning team. I doubt he’ll have to wait his turn for very long.

Is Rooney left or right footed?

If he's fully match fit it wouldn't surprise me to see Rooney start, I think he's played 2 Cup games this season so won't exactly be a million miles off.

Same as Huddersfield for me - no one deserves dropping. Need some stability so they can form a partnership- Shepherd was strong, Earl had a good game and the two full backs played well.

If he is then get him paired with Shepherd for that natural balance at CB.
