Wow these lads were something else at the time weren't they, in about 69-72, ish!. Paul Macca was a big fan of theirs, and apparently, they could have been the next best thing, from the early 70s onwards. And we're seeing their music now aren't we, on present day films and tv series. But, it's a tragic story when you think about it, what happened to their two lead singers.
Tragic and despicable the way they were ripped off. Without You, sold multi millions for both Nielson and Mariah Carey but Ham and Evans barely saw a fraction of the sales. Both committed suicide.
My first ever 45 single record bought for me by my dad . Bad finger .Come and get it. Quite emotional, thinking about it ,bless him x
Yeah Come and get it, they looked like kids on acid didn't they lol. Aww hey, they were young lads who were just really enjoying their music, and I really like that about them. It's around the time when I was born, but I do like looking back to their time, and that style of music.
Yeah I remember buying their singles .. they were endorsed by the Beatles on Apple. The big juicy green apple on the label … memories eh!
Another one on Apple was Mary Hopkin. Those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end. How very true
I may have this wrong but I'm pretty sure Baby Blue was the closing song on the final breaking bad episode
You bugger ...... That's done it now, I can't get that bloody song out of my head now. And I couldn't stand it at the time, it was on the radio and TOTP all the flippin time.
Another one written & produced by McCartney. Was at no.1 for 6 weeks in 1968. In the US it reached no.2,kept off the no.1 spot by Hey Jude.
