I'm pretty much non-aligned to the political parties, I also don't mind taking the 'devil's advocate' position. I regard this forum/membership as being generally rounded, interesting and sometimes extremely knowledgeable on a huge range of subjects. If it was just a bunfight of opinions about Saturday's result I probably wouldn't bother.

The example you use to illustrate your point though is a poor one - there isn’t a thread on the tv shows section for over two years and we’ve discussed many a tv show on the main forum in that time. If things aren’t on the main section they don’t get viewed or used.

I understand what you’re saying, though without agreeing - for me it’s great as it is - but others have the right to differ. I’m sure the admins will take a decision based on what they deem serves us best. Though as mentioned, we’ve taken a democratic view on this before and chose to leave as it is.

To be honest mate I didn't click in the TV shows to check lol, but it's like anything new or changes etc takes a little getting used to but I'm sure the traffic for a political section would be busy once posters adapted.
You never know it might even attract new posters.

 

Very hard to gauge whether the poster was joking when they post once a flood!

 

Perhaps we should just have a dedicated football section!!!

Whilst I'm not implying you fall into the following bracket, but in my opinion, there's far
too many, that react to personal attacks on others, whos views aren't or dont aligne themselves to their's
Sadly it's a sign of the times, whereby those who are aggressive and shout the loudest seem to get their own way, or like to think they do. We see it far too often with some resorting to violence, to silence others ( As Americans have just witnessed with the murder of Charlie Kirk)
My advice if you don't like Whitey s political stance or others point of views the political threads on here or anywhere for that matter aren't for you sadly.
Without open debate we stagnate and allow dictatorship to come in through the back door
Just like Trump and Farage advocate in my opinion

 

I'd leave it as it is. Its usually fairly obvious from the thread title what subject is being discussed... if it's not to your taste then don't engage with the thread. It's like when someone posts and others reply saying 'absolutely zero interest' or 'pointless thread', why bother replying then? Just stick to those you are interested in.
