It's certainly got off to a lively start, with an injury and (deserved) ejection for Jalen Carter prior to a snap being taken in the game. Loved seeing the Superbowl banner get unfurled in front of the Cowboys prior to kick-off though. The odds are stacked against a team going back to back, so I'm prepared for disappointment this season. We seem to be doing our best to gift a win to the Cowboys on the evidence of the 1st quarter.
That's going to be a cold one. Not quite frozen tundra time, perhaps, so you might only need about 8 layers in November.
I have been a fan of the NFL since 1980 when we lived abroad and it was shown on tv. It wasn't on tv in UK at the time. I never had a favourite team, that was until the Randall Cunningham era as QB for the Eagles. Any QB who had more running yards than his receivers, running backs and tightends had to be special. Up to his retirement no NFL quarterback had more rushing yards, nearly 5000. He was a real character but nowhere near the character of QB of the Jets, Broadway Joe Namath. He was the George Best of the NFL. He had drink problems, opened a nightclub that was frequented by the glitterati and gansters, and had affairs with Janis Joplin and Raquel Welch. His biography has the best book title ever; "I Can't Wait Until Tomorrow... 'Cause I Get Better Looking Every Day."
Go bills. Had a shocking pre season but Josh Allen hardly played. Missin start. Tough 1st game v a very gd ravens team
As a Houston Texans fan quietly confident for this season- Stroud bounceback season with new weapons and O-line
Washington Commanders on channel 5 Sunday night. Used to have an old Redskins jacket. Was my pride and joy as a kid.
I was drawn to the game in the early 80s by Joe "Cool" Montana and his Niners. Never seen anyone like him since, though one or two have come close. Not for the 49ers though!
One of my old uni mates is a Phins fan, he hates it, they used to be so good and now, now it's like supporting a small League one football team from a northern town.... a whole lot of heartache with the occasional glimpse of gold.
I’m a bengals fan fairly new to it went to watch a game at Wembley probably 5 years ago and just loved it it was rams vs bengals and I chose the bengals even though they was crap on the day but I have a good feeling about this season as long as Joe burrow stays fit Defo contenders for the playoffs for me
For those unaware DAZN are showing a lot of the NCAA games for free this year, including College GameDay.
