I definitely don't fella. But like I said some will defend anything. Anyway it's only abit of tax avoidance you keep voting Labour regardless along with the minions.
I wish people would stop calling Reform UK fascists, it’s really not very helpful in any way. They are a right-wing popularist party, but their manifesto is far from any sane definition of “fascist”.
Totally agree. Some of the scapegoating and nationalism can be associated with fascist ideology but they just aren't.. and calling them something they not plays into their hands and lets them play the victim.
Corbyn got all those votes yet also delivered the worst result for Labour for almost 100 years... I know I was at the count supporting our candidate utterly humiliated at 4 in the morning wondering where it all went wrong.
A fascist is a proponent of fascism, a far-right, ultranationalist political ideology characterized by a dictatorial leader, a centralized autocratic government, the suppression of opposition, militarism, and a strong belief in national superiority or a social hierarchy, where individual interests are subordinate to the interests of the nation or race. Fascism emphasizes total control over society and the economy, placing the nation above all else. Silly me, we’ve not seen anything like this anywhere have we? Please grow eyes before it’s too late.
Most accountancy firms have a get out clause... that their work and advice is based on the information supplied by the client.
This guy, doesn't bother to think. He doesn't know how things are to be paid for.... It's like a uni student
Yes and I still am it was closer to 7 though.. Record investment in the NHS and social housing creating well paid skilled jobs for the next generation.
There have definitely been some positives. Even one or two decisions that many were angry about, I defended them for. I’m not intransigent. I think close-minded people are as bad as those who are easily led. But I cannot reconcile voting for a party that has aped the right wing, that has enabled and been complicit in genocide. That goes against my values. I don’t believe this government will introduce a tax on the very wealthiest either. Or go after big business in terms of what they owe to the country. The internal mistakes such as the Rayner issue just further my lack of trust in a party that just isn’t the one I used to be a member of. And that’s ok. I found a new political home. Thank God for democracy.
I never imagined in my wildest dreams they could do this bad a job. How hard can it be for politicians to just act with integrity? The future looks grim. I can’t imagine for a second that Green or Corbyn’s new gig will pose any real threat in the next GE.
And yet you willingly accept the rhetoric spouted from other sources from known liars? What are you trying to prove here? That Rayner (and Labour) is ‘as bad’ as the Tories or Reform? The last 14 months whilst being as anti-socialist a Labour government that I can ever recall has achieved things the 14 years of the Tories never did. Reform don’t actually have any achievements in their history nor a full set of policies. I’m no fan of the current government whatsoever but if there was a general election tomorrow I’d vote Labour without a shadow of a doubt. As they’re the only party with a credible chance of winning to keep out the rising right wing nationalists. People can deny all they like - but the parallels with 1930’s Germany are stark. Fascist? Well, read what the dictionary definition of fascism is, and look at what they say and do. There are quite a few areas of correlation, no? And not so many areas of divergence. Sometimes if it’s white and baa’s, it is a sheep. Reform are gaining traction at an exponential rate and it cannot and will not end well. Farage is a long term grifter who serially shafts anyone who isn’t flavour of the month. If he actually had to produce a reasoned, scrutinised and costed manifesto of policies (other than sending brown people home to be persecuted), he’d sh.it his pants. But as things stand I can’t see how he doesn’t win the next election. They are polling over 70% in many areas. The tide needs to turn. As others have mentioned, the sitting government actually have to take action to make people’s lives better. People can’t blindly blame migrants for their sh.it existence if they don’t actually have that sh.it an existence.
Interesting read that mate. Make sense. Farage is definitely not the answer but he is using the migrants to promote his own egos. And many our buying into this sadly.
Reform's manifesto seems to be a wish list of unachievable things people say down the pub, the economic policies look uncosted and The IFS has stated that Reform UK's plans lack the necessary detail to be fully costed and that the proposed "sizeable giveaways on tax and benefits" are not matched by specific plans for "big cuts to spending on public services". Any attempt to implement them as it would probably cause a run on the markets similar or worse then the one we had under Thick Lizzy. None of this makes them "fascists" in any sense of the word, they should be confronted in a sane, analytical and adult manner. Screaming "fascists!" with your fingers in your ears will just make you look extremely unattractive to ordinary voters. Successive Tory governments and now this Labour one, are not doing a good enough job. We should really hope that the Tory party get their act together before the next election and are able to win back the disgruntled Tory vote from Reform, I would even vote Tory if they were to keep reform out in my constituency.
Your analysis smacks of incredible naivety. Do you really think they are going to document a fascist agenda in a policy document? Of course, they have greed at their heart too. They need to carry the greedy along with the hateful and the ignorant to get power. Getting power and wielding it are very different things. Look across the pond. Fascism in play. "Fascism first comes as your friend." Is a well trodden verse. Authoritarianism. Breaking apart bodies and groups that can check power. Lies. Propaganda. The use of military. Threats. Seizing control of law and judiciaries. Nobody is screaming fascists. But I've seen multiple journalists raise this. Respected people like Behr, Williams and Monbiot. Perhaps we should listen. Perhaps we should see what's coming. Financial greed may be the surface. But the person owning that party has form, from youth. Constantly. A smiley cig holding beer swilling person who couldn't possibly wield power in a devastating way? Power he's never held before. Plenty of people said Trumps second term would be a lame duck. He couldn't possibly do what he said he would. He wouldn't really be a dictator. Well, anyone with those thoughts was very much wrong, weren't they?
You make my point for me. You are not addressing what Reform are proposing, but speculating on what they'll do thats not in their manifesto. If you tell people that are thinking of voting Reform then they are voting in Fascists who will do all these things for which there is no evidence then you will not change their minds, and maybe they will do all these things that make them Fascist, but thats not what they are saying now, they need to be challenged on what they are proposing to do in their manifesto not some fever dream of a future fascist state. IT WILL NOT WORK.
