"Town keeper rightly sent off but why did Connell only receive a yellow for a cynical foul on Harness .. to rub it in he scores 5 mins later!"

He clipped his heels to bring him down and stop the attack while they were still in Huddersfields half, plus there was plenty of cover with the defence so i'm not sure where the red card would've come from?

Similarly, saw a middle aged bloke saying the ref was paid off and they battered us in the second half, but that’s just the type of comment you expect on FB & X. The realm of lots of kids and those old enough to know better, which sadly includes some of our own.

Since when has playing Huddersfield been our cup final? I’d say that in the 52 years I’ve watched us we’ve probably been above them in the pyramid for the majority of that time.

Some right rubbish comes out on X. Battered us second half haha. More like we played within ourselves, kept our shape and hit them on the counter once they’d run out of steam.

I actually thought Huddersfield were the better side second half. In fact, I was alarmed by how poor we were against 10 men.

Its difficult for a lot of fans to be unbiased. Whether its the ref or rose-tinted eye-pieces or a simple failure to read a game very well loads of fans can't bring themselves to accept that on a given day the opposition team might just, actually, be better and deserve the points. That goes for our own fans too.

it’s really hard to gauge when a team goes down to 10. I must admit I was hoping for a goal fest in the second half, but I don’t know what Conor’s instructions were for the second half.

If our approach was to be professional and respectful of a team we’ve to play again at their place, then I’m ok with that.

Totally agree it’s hard to judge with 10 and against ten. I just didn’t feel like we were in control.
