Completely agree, bud. Luton aren't in an upward trajectory anymore. They're properly stuttering now. I have no doubts he will get offers from bigger & better clubs if he sticks with us on this form. He seems to be involved much more in general play, his tracking back and closing down has been exceptional this season
Very underwhelming for the player if he went there, you’d think he’d back himself to get an offer from Championship
Yeah, even if we can convince him to stay until Jan, if he keeps these performances up, someone from champ will come sniffing in the winter.
I think Moore & Morris were better but didn’t have as long with us as they were that good they got signed by other clubs a lot quicker
He just needs to look at where the careers of Woodrow and Andersen have gone (obvs don't look at their bank balances )
That’s the key isn’t it? Woodrow turned down Cardiff and signed an extension. Very rare behaviour. Usually we lose our better players quite quickly, particularly if they force the move which was the case with certain lads. I think I’d go with Ashley Ward as my favourite striker, and he too went all too soon for my liking.
The point I was making was that Ai stated that Luton Town had a windfall from the sale of the old Kenilworth Rd ground, which is wrong.
Yeah exactly, that's what I was suggesting. Conor might be able to tempt him to stay... "your playing really well mate, keep up the good work, and if you stay with us, we really might be onto something ourselves this season", etc!. And yeah if it doesn't work out, he can surely leave with our thanks and respect next season.
I think the magic words would be: "we'll match what Luton are offering you". I think we know how likely that is.
seriously does the Luton scouting algorithm not extend beyond, lets popup to Barnsley and see who've they got that we fancy?
