    Once when doing knock on door sales in Stoke I knocked on this door and this 20 year old lad says you look like my mate Phil Foden (frequent I get that due to the stature and haircut) and I laughed it off and said I guess you’re a city fan then, he said no he’s actually my mate. I called his bluff, so he FaceTimed him on the spot and Phil answered. I asked how he became a friend of Phil Foden, by complete accident he says. His story was that he went night fishing one time when this lad about his age came with all the top notch gear and they got along well and Phil (the kid didn’t know who he was at the time) bought everyone who was at the spot a takeaway. In the morning, Foden said to the lad thanks for not hassling me and bot being pushy with him, with the young Stoke lad asking why would he hassle him when he doesn’t know who he is (the kid didn’t watch footy).

    My most famous person in my contacts is probs Hooky Fella :D

    That was Phil and Kirstie. Property Ladder was her main programme though did a few other things.

    We actually worked on a project together, quite a way back now but we’ve messaged a few times down the years. A really lovely woman.

    This is a great thread. Assuming all the famous ones are real there are some real randoms on here. Who knew we had such eclectic friends?

    I asked a mate this question earlier and he has regular WhatsApp contact with British porn star Michelle Thorne. Went to school with her in Bristol (ironically) and they have stayed in touch. News to his wife I would imagine.....

    Great story. Interesting how Phil Foden is very comfortable being mates with a regular lad his own age from Stoke, presumably over a shared love of fishing. Though I wonder if they'd have become friends if the lad was a footy fan. Reckon it was probably nice for Phil Foden to get chatting to someone who's got no interest in football, and therefore would have no ulterior motive (apart from free takeaways every time they hang out!).

    I know that Gazza used to go fishing on the River Witham at Tattershall in Lincolnshire a lot. A beautiful spot a long way from anywhere which is very well known amongst fishing enthusiasts. Apparently he was happy to chat with everyone, but much preferred to discuss the day's fishing rather than anything football-related.
