How Russell Martin landed the the top job at Ibrox is beyond me. Painful style of football that just doesnt work. The SPL ain't rocket science as Gerrard proved. Cannot see him lasting til November.

Nice to see 2 up front for St Mirren. The standard isnt great but seeing two strikers up top battling away is a nice change.

Just elequlised but the goal they conceaded was like the second yesterday one striker two defenders both taken out with one straight ball. I keep hearing how slow our centre half's are but dont think Shepard is slow. He gets in the wrong postion to start with then it doesn't matter how quick you are get the wrong side and it's almost impossible to recover.

A lot of our fans lauded Shepherd as our defensive saviour. He’s had one good season in L2 and is still adapting at the next level. He may not even end up good enough only time will tell. It’s frightening that our only options are him, Earl and then god forbid, MDG. We need two more CH’s for me but it won’t happen if we can’t move one out.

I don't think Shepard anywhere near the finished article but he has many attributes that with work he could be a decent left sided centre half. It slightly confusing that the senior defender usually goes on his wrong side if needs be but Earls stayed on his strong side and still been poor. I think there's more hope with Shepard than Earl if we can get a decent right sided ch to guide him more. The problem been can we afford one this week.

Perhaps he won't see the end of August? He's lost the fans. He's pretty much finished there already.

Doubt he'll see Thursday if they get knocked out in their Champions League 2nd leg qualifier on Wednesday, 3-1 down after home leg.

He never had the fans. He's not a "Rangers" manager.

They didn't stick with van Bronckhorst or Clement, who are both impressive and more experienced European managers, yet the new owners thought Martin was the answer—pure dead bonkers.

Rangers fans are super entitled, utterly delusional, and have zero patience. They need a reality check, but they have hee-haw money (relatively speaking) and will not accept a 'project'—yet that is the only way they can get back in the game in Scotland.

They'll sack Russell and bring back Barry, who will get a dead cat bounce before rinsing and repeating.

As soap operas go, Ibrox just keeps on giving.

    Pass me the popcorn.

Awful manager. But Igamane should be ashamed of himself.

I cant see rangers sacking him yet. 49ers will be admitted theyre wrong. Apparently, theyve spent more this window for Russell than Gerrard got to spend in 3 years - so he'll be under some huge pressure.

I don't get how he keeps getting jobs, he's properly *****.

Play-off second leg going predictably badly - 4-0 down and playing with 10 men and it's not even halftime yet.

    Edit: 5-0, HT.
