I think 10th to 15th. We have to accept a season of rebuilding. Our squad is nowhere near good enough. We have no cover /competition at centre forward and need two centre halves unless Shephed improves very quickly.
I'd be absolutely astonished if we finish lower than last season, as we were utterly gash for most of it but still came 12th.
I see him as an attacking midfielder, sort of Frank Lampard type but obviously nowt near as good. He his a good player of course but if we need cash to fund at least 2 others then maybe he’s an option as I think we have goals in midfield from others, I.e. Phillips Russell
I see us at the same level as last season. . Wimbledon will be between 10th and 15th and beat us comfortably today.
I think we're so far ahead of where we were last season it's incomparable. I've experienced more entertainment from the games I've watched this season than I probably did from the entire of last season put together. Although granted I didn't watch Reading away or either of the Bolton matches. Also, did Wimbledon really beat us comfortably? Either of McGoldrick's chances would have gone in on another day. Both of them would have been complete game changers, for different reasons. We weren't brilliant today, but it was a game of very fine margins.
If we are after a centre half. Ryan Edwards former Plymouth Blackpool and Dundee United cb is available on a free. Aged 31. 6ft 5 tall right footed
I’d say on another day Wimbledon beat us by 5 or 6. Yeah we missed a chance or 2 but Cooper kept the score down. agreed about entertainment but entertainment and attainment are different things.
Don’t see that. They are a solid L1 team. Probably the best we have faced other than Bolton. They played well and deserved the win. They will do that enough to stay up.
Not sure how you work that one out! They've had a very tough start and have come through it with 3 wins. Two of them against two of the stronger sides in the league in us and Lincoln. And both their defeats were extremely unfortunate against sides relegated from the Championship. There's some proper crap in this league. Wimbledon definitely don't look like they fall into that category.
We'll not do owt until we sort the defence out. And sign a couple of proper holding mids. But up top our players are all too similar. No10/wide attacking players in abundance. And instead of building a team around last seasons best player DKD. Have we asked him to play a different role to accommodate others?. Somethings not right and it's affecting his game. Said it before.. and for last time until things change, we are not a good team but have some good individual players. Who in some games will individually pull us through. But in others they won't, especially games like yesterday when they come up against a organised, solid team.
