Vickers for me. Brilliant going forward but just outstanding defensively for a winger, his work rate is second to none.
Gent wasn’t good enough in a ooor team last year surprised he’s still here( not sure of length of contract)
Young, highly rated player with bags of potential. Clearly bought as a long-term option. Not quite sure why you're surprised he's still here? I don't think it's usual practice to bin a promising player off just because he gets a nasty injury.
Barely played for us and hes had great reviews we'd be daft to write him off. Think Ogbeta was poor to decent first couple of games but thought his best game was Bolton where he did very well and was decent today. Not quite the best left back in the league for me, but wouldn't mind seeing him become it!!
Agree with all of that. We're still very light in defensive positions, so it'll be absolutely great when Gent is back. We're going to need that squad depth throughout the season if we want to be challenging (which I'm assuming we do).
Once they're crocked properly. They're never the same again. Hope I'm wrong but as a full back think we've seen best of him. I'd move him on.
I was critical of Ogbeta after 1st game but against Bolton and last night he showed he's got to be up there with the best in that position. Happy to be proved wrong and liking the clean sheet from last night..
It's not the 1980's any more, when an ACL or achilles rupture would end someone's career. With modern medical advances, most players come back just as good as they were before the injuries.
I thought he had a mixed game, as did a couple of others. Connell and Earl probably the main ones. Some very good moments, some poor ones. But I like his energy, his crossing is good most often and he's definitely an upgrade on last season.
Nah, signed permanently from Blackburn. A lot of their fans were quite unhappy about it, which is usually a good sign!
