Who’d have thought we’d have started the season this well given the fixture difficulty?

If we go into the Hudds game on 13pts it really does make it a bit extra tasty.

Brilliant start albeit very wasteful tonight. We are creating chances tho.

Reminds me of the style we played under Paul Heckingbottom.

    Enjoying it.

McGoldrick can keep starting for me.

His link up play and movement is something we’ve been lacking for a good few years.

Agree that we need a decent backup option.

Didzy starts every week based on what I’ve seen so far.

I think I had guessed 7 points after the first 4 games. Only the win at Plymouth is the one I got wrong.

It’s certainly been an exciting start. Particularly in an attacking sense.

So far so good. Everything looks promising. Just need to keep the key players & we’ll be in the mix.

I think we’ve been a bit fortunate that we’ve dropped on Plymouth & Peterborough at the perfect time but I couldn’t care less.

I’m sure no one will have any sympathy for us when we drop on a side who are in good form.

And who had own goals as top scorer after 4 games?

I think at this point I'd rather another winger as cover and DKD can fight it out with mcgoldrick, because I think DKD on the left is properly nulled. He works extremely hard but has nowhere near the impact he does up front.

I think we need another winger and a striker because if Mcgoldrick gets injured we can play Cleary up front. However, if we're playing Cleary up front we have no cover on the wing.

But what about played 4, 2 with 10 men.
Conceded 4 goals one clean sheet .
That as to be a massive positive over last season.
It's early days ,but just another centre half please BFC.
We could be challenging for a top 2 spot

If we can get to mid October unbeaten, having played Huddersfield, Stevenage, Cardiff and Bradford, I'll start to believe :D

Just keep winning and see where it takes us. All about momentum. Keep that going and more importantly play to win every game.

He even came back to defend at one point and make a vital clearance. One of the fittest players in the squad.

Current form, if it were to continue, would have us on 105+ points for the season....we can dream can't we?

The negative is that we still look very suspect at the back. The positive is that I still think we have a couple of gears left.

Someone is in for a hiding off us one of these days imo.

We were down near the front last night, so saw him close up in the second half. His first touch was ridiculously good.

It's a good start but that's all it is so far. Long way to go.

I'm pleasantly surprised with the change in energy and focus of the team. I thought we might start slow and pick up once ideas got across to players and the team had a chance to gel. I'm very pleased with the points haul, but I'm also mindful with very slight variances we could have drawn at home to Burton (maybe even have lost), have lost against Bolton and only got a point last night (given we actually only ended up with one goal that was an own goal).

Despite our style of play and effort which I think most if not all people are pleased with, I think there's plenty to improve on and more potential in this team. At this minute our points tally is probably higher than we've deserved. Time will tell, but we've also played teams who may turn out to be at the lower end of the table. The run from Huddersfield onwards is going to tell us quite a lot.

We've also got to see what happens when this team lose. What is the character when a few things go wrong that cost us and we taste defeat?

But so far, it's been an enjoyable start to the season with entertaining passing football (often from opponents too) and some much needed belief starting to return.

We do need a cb and striker...but people need to forget about didsy's age...he's fit, class and scores...I'd sell dkd if we will replace him. Shepherd had a mare last night. His passing was awful

Its a good start and plenty to be positive about. I like alot of the new signings, the style of play is alot better than Collins or Clarke ever served up, vimal and Bland look excellent prospects at only 19.

It's very early though let's see where we are after the Huddersfield game after we have played stevenage and Huddersfield. It's no less than we deserve though the Bolton game 11v 11 we win the game. Still could do with another striker and a center half as Roberts isn't getting any younger and picks up alot of injuries. Having said that we haven't don't too bad without him.

And another pleasing thing is players like connell who were poor last season look back to his best we saw under Duff.

Shep wasnt on his own though last night re poor passing. There were several examples. For me the balance of the team was affected by Yoganathans ban and we were still trying to pass instinctively at speed.
