We're only 3 league games in, but who do we reckon will be the first to go in the Efl. Hopefully if we keep up our good record away at Peterbrough, then Daz Fergiescum Jnr will be under pressure. And how long before Plymouth regret hiring Tom Cleverboy.
They would only appoint him again anyway, a few seasons later lol. Phil Parkinson is under pressure at Wrexham as well hopefully, and surely Michael Appleton again, wherever he is now.
Tough job for Cleverly. I felt there was a lot of expectation at Plymouth. Been in the Championship a few seasons, and fans seem to expect a quick return, but they weren’t very good on the day.
Parkinson. He's being found out now he no longer has a squad which belongs a division above where he's managing.
Be interesting to see what Hollywood FC do, but I think Parky has earned his chance to manage them in the championship but how much grace he is afforded is anyone's guess
Surely not….he’s hardly got any experience at all as a head coach. Surely they’d want someone more proven at Championship level. Danny Rohl maybe?
I reckon some Championship club will come in for Conor eventually, but we'll have to deal with that as and when.
Having a read of some of Plymouths forums before we played there, there were quite a few concerned, saying they're midtable at best. Alot of problems in their forward areas
Surely we’ll get a full season out of him. He’s an intelligent bloke and I just don’t think he’d try jumping up a level before he’s proven himself. Also think he might show us a bit of loyalty given we’ve presented him with his first head coach role.
I agree, cant see anyone coming in for Conor until atleast after a first full season. Rohl would be an excellent appointment
Yeah exactly, how long will the money bags stick with Parkinson, if they do struggle in these first few months. And I didn't say I thought Conor would be poached this season. Surely we will get a full season from him, and yeah I would hope some 'loyalty' as well.
Well in the Championship, six teams have lost their two opening games. We've mentioned Wrexham and the two Sheffielders. But there's also Derby and Blackburn surprisingly. And I think maybe Oxford's good run has or will, run out this season.
