I see West Brom have pissed on their party. Ain't going to find it so easy at second tier level. Also they ain't going to be getting all the decisions go their way.
That's a Phil Parkinson side, very pragmatic, well organised but perhaps not willing to take risks. I think they'll struggle.
I hope they do. Nothing against the club, in general, but I don’t like to see teams progressing just because they have rich owners
Never going to achieve anything with Danny Ward in goal. He's absolutely terrible and has been for years. How he let that 2nd goal in I'll never know. Okonkwo on their bench is miles better
Got time to settle, every club in the lower divisions would love a sugar daddy to come in an invest a few bob, good luck Wrexham enjoy the good times,
The defence has been their biggest weakness through all the leagues. At Championship level a bad defence will get punished every week. It'll be hard for them to get by by outscoring their opponents at that level. They wont have many boring matches though!
Although I hate the sugar daddy concept it does sometimes give other teams a chance. They'll settle back where they belong though like Wigan.
Noticed a wee bit of national conflict by the fans. WBA fans singing God save someone or other and the Wrexham fans whistling it down. Quite amusing
Odd comment. I was only offering my opinion on clubs buying their way to success being bankrolled by rich owners. There’s been a lot of it over the years and it just distorts the game too much. We won promotion to the premier league without that kind of backing and that made it all the more of an achievement
I get that there’s a lot of money in football, but I still can’t accept likes of Wigan, Bournemouth, Brentford, Reading and now Wrexham doing it as ‘the norm’. When I say ‘likes of’ I mean clubs that have spent the largest chunk of their history in the lower leagues. They are the ones with the most obvious change in fortunes since being moneyed.
