I remember Ian Darke used to commentate on boxing, so that means talking aggressively and shouting a lot lol. I haven't got it on, so is it really that bad, already!!.
Awful. He just shouts names in the hope he gets that ”Aguero” style commentary. “And it’s Mo SALAH” ….. ball sails aimlessly over the bar.
Jonathan Pearce used to do this as well, and I couldn't stand it then. Just ridiculous shouty commentary for effect, almost like he was showing off.
Not sure how the Bournemouth lad hasn’t got penalised for that handball. Looks an obvious handball & probably a red card
Peter f****** Drury. Spends half the time reading some pre-planned nonsense as though he’s describing fine art, and the other time screaming surnames. One of the very worst commentators. And been getting big jobs forever. I’m sure someone out there rates him.
As far as the commentary is concerned, I find it of a low standard but I can't pass a proper opinion The reason for this is the background noise is ramped up so much that I can't hear a word that the commentators say. Anyone else have the same problem?
I think the contrast is about right, even though I'm getting a bit deaf in my old age and have a bit of tinnitis
I think just shouting out names is purposeful, it's asked of them nowadays. They all want the Aguero moment or TORRRREEESssss 'oooooooooooooh' squeel from Neville.
