Deep Thought. 42 points. That'll do.

That would mean they'd end up with minus googolplex points, enough to force them to the bottom of whichever division they are playing in until the universe disintegrates.

Sounds a bit lenient to me.

That would be a fitting punishment. A team gets x points deducted but the rest of the league can vote at the end of the season when they get applied. So if they are in the play-offs or just escape relegation, apply them. If they are mid-table, wait until next season...

I see Bazza B is suspended for their cup game tomorrow, which he would have probably sat out regardless.

Just deduct em enough points at the end of each of the next five seasons that no matter how many points they gained in that season they'll finish bottom and be relegated. Sounds fair enough to me that oh and insert a clause that if they appeal or commit further offences the punishment is doubled to ten years that makes it even fairer.

Red card suspensions are served over all fa competitions, only yellow card totting up suspensions are competition specific.
Dunno what the logic of that is, but thems the rules.

I guess the default was they carry across competitions but then someone realised that players would be able to deliberately get their 5th yellow card in a league game directly before a cup round in order to wipe the slate clean without any penalty in the league.
