I think the " fan " rumour was he failed a medical, but Cowley the Colchester manager said the deal ended due to the financial structure of the deal.

He came on as a 64th minute substitute on Saturday so he's obviously fit.

 

If he signs for us he'll be Samson Dingle.

Whilst he was top of my list this summer, I don’t see how we’d afford him. And even though we need another forward, if we are to spend money on a new player, I think I’d prefer that to go on a centre half.

Connor would prefer to bring another wide option by all accounts Jordan Thomas expecting another bid in this week think we are just playing thr long game with that one seeing just how much money we can knock off his release clause tactical negotiation similar to DKD last year we made 6 bids overall

 

Lopata and Nwakali don’t have futures at the club Connor wants a wide man and another Expereinced central option to be a like for like replacement for Roberts

A player of that quality there’s always interest but only been one bid for him and it was 5 million rising to 6 with add ons and was rejected

 

Loads of reasons to fail a medical and also loads of examples of players failing a medical at one club but passing at another and going on to be very successful.

 

Thanks for all the updates there Luca. The only thing that concerns me is we're not looking at another striker incoming when really we only have DKD & Didzy which at the moment we're starting together in the front 3 with you Farrell on the bench.

Think Connor likes versatility both cleary and Vickers can also play up front and Thomas can play left and ride side and also as a number 10 besides Tovide haven’t heard anything about an out and out striker

 

That's fair. As long as we can get that centre half in, think well have had a good summer. Thomas would be a bonus.
