So they're not letting 2000 or so fans inside until the first 1000 take their seats 5 minutes after kick-off, then they'll open the turnstiles. Nothing dangerous about that, then. The whole protest seems coordinated in such a way that it can't easily be handled safely by the host club.
Would have been far more dangerous imo to have 3k+ on the concourse. All trying to get to their seats 5 mins after ko. I'd guess a lot didn't get into the ground till near half time. Some trying to jump the queue might have got a slap I suppose.
Took my neighbour 22mins to get in an they missed the goal, Hahahahahahahaha, should'nt laugh really.
Agreed, @Hooky feller, but that was kind of my point - the nature of the protest meant that there was no safe way for the host club to manage it. As it was, I think they took the best approach, and there was no unseemly rush, so credit to the fans for being sensible, apart from that idiot stood at the top of the steps with his arms out, milking the moment. But maybe they could plan future protests in such a way that doesn't risk creating a crush.
The protest was not taking up their seats until 5 minutes after kick-off, but that meant Leicester had to close the turnstiles once the first 1000 had filled the concourse.
Understand reasoning behind protesting but this one seemed a bit pointless to me. Not that I’ve any suggestions what they ought to do instead. Personally I quite like Chansiri anyway…
Only ever been to Two protest's, Deaf Society Protest, Whadda we want'', Hearing Aids'', When do we want em'', Hearing Aids'', Tourette's Syndrome Protest, Whadda we want'', A cure for Tourette's'', When do we want it'', Fooookin Wan ker'',
If you want to wind up a Wednesday fan on social media, just post this picture with a comment about crap away following. Never known a set of fans so obsessed with crowd size. They just can’t help themselves.
So they paid good money to travel to Leicester with the aim of missing the first 5 minutes of the match but ended up missing the first 22 minutes instead? Is that what happened?
Some only missed 5 minutes, I think it was about half an hour before the last ones got in and to their seats.
