Kangaroos and Emus cannot walk backwards.
The motto for Australia is Advance Australia.
The Coat of Arms includes a Kangaroo and an Emu to support this phrase.

    Just some useless titbits.

His blues and oranges are better than O'Keeffe and Cotter so should be an improvement.

Despite this signing being a solid one, we still haven’t got a squad capable of a top half finish in my opinion. Loads to do these last few weeks of the window still.

We dont have a squad for top half? We finished top half last season with a worse squad imo. Absolutely nothing to suggest we will finish below 12th.

The biggest signing that showed in the plymouth game was the players signing up to Enthusiasm, Determination, Effort and Belief. We've all seen it when a team without individual stars play as one, Houriane already appears to have something that Collins and Clarke lacked and now we all need to get behind it. The fabulous support away last week made ya proud so lets get down there today and show em were with em...

Have we moved forward? Not so sure. We finished 12th last season because other teams were woeful who have since strengthened in my opinion. Not saying we’re the only ones but can see Rotherham, Blackpool and Wigan as well as everybody else who finished above us being above Barnsley with the exception of Lincoln who I think will be in a relegation battle.

I think you're wrong about us. We massively underperformed last year. I think it's clear that the mentality around the squad is completely different this time around. Whether that will be enough to get us into the playoffs I'm not sure, but I'd be astonished if we finished outside the top 10 (potential departures notwithstanding).

I do agree that Lincoln will struggle compared with recent seasons. They seem to have lost a lot of key players over the summer. However, they have a good manager, they're well-organised and clearly have an excellent scouting network. I'm expecting a transitional season for them and lower mid-table. However, I don't think they'll be in serious danger of relegation.

Wow ,we were top 6 up till Christmas .
Players gone were insignificant in that result.
I honestly think that one more centre back in and a back up striker ,hang on to our top players and a top 6 is well within reach.
Huddersfield will probably take a top 2 spot,
    with the money invested .
Been a useful window so far in my opinion apart from the centre half we require.
Just fingers crossed we speculate to accumulate by only letting players go who are nearly out of contract ,eg Russel.
However I would be happy to keep him in the squad,if he would extend his contract.

I don’t think it’s especially controversial to say there is lots to do. As it stands we are very light in a lot of areas and recruitment has been, in the main, focused on free transfers, loans and punts on young players plus signing a 38 year old who is currently our only centre forward.

That’s not to say things can’t change but at the minute 10th would be a massive achievement. It’s a season of transition and repositioning.

I think quite a bit hinges on Richard Keogh.
We will score goals, no doubt. We aren’t going to spend big money on quality centre backs and therefore the only way we will shore up the back line is working on plays without the ball.

they have been doing a lot of that apparently and so if Keogh can get his message across then the points will start rolling in. That’s obviously a big ask as we have some accident prone defenders. It sounds like he’s taking them back to basics and also teaching the midfield to protect them a little more. A good keeper will also make a big difference and initial signs look good.

on top of that if Conor can get that extra 5 to 10% out of them then let’s see. Again, pressing last week looked good. The way he talks suggests he is very demanding and I can see how players would want to play for him. Sounds like he is giving simple, clear instructions which I think is very important in football

Fitness looked good, signs are promising, but let’s see how things look after 10 games.
