They really don't. Thanks to the bigots average men can no longer take their place on a sports team or on the podium. Rape crisis and women's refuges are now back to how they were set up to be. Women are no longer forced to get undressed in front of their male colleagues for fear of being disciplined for being transphobic.

But I'm not BarnsleyReds so if he said that how is that me saying it? We are different people.
I could hazard a guess at what he meant which I don't think was calling out an entire religion as paedos but that would just be my interpretation of what he said.

What bothers me mate is the attitude of the customer as you say.
The apology although I don't think necessary. Gives the answer I'd have thought.
    Traumatised ffs.

You was literally liking every comment he wrote. And added your own things to it. When he got asked to explain himself he never did. Just went on about how the religion doesn't like the lbgtq+ community.

Whilst I agree with those OP about M&S apologising worth pointing out that the article shown has been selective with its reporting.

It quotes the Telegraph but in the Telegraph it clearly states the customer was in the Bra section looking for a bra fitting and asked if they needed help.
Whereas the article in this thread says in another section.

You're making the assumption though that the aforementioned M&S staff member was working in that section. The article doesn't say that, it states that's where the incident took place. I can often be found in the kitchen at work, but I don't work in there. I know a man who owned a women's lingerie shop.

I appreciate that I've lived quite a privelidged life being a straight, white, CIS male, so forgive me if I speak out of turn here. But what difference would it make if the employee mentioned in the article worked in the lingerie section? If you didn't want their assistance, you could always politely decline it, like the complainant in the article should have done. There isn't any need to humiliate someone simply because they're different to you.

In a slightly different scenario (but it's the only comparable one I can think of that I've experienced), I dislike going into Lush. The staff in there are really friendly, but if you make eye contact with any of them, they want to help you. It's like they're working on commission. I often know what I'm going in for (my mum swears by their CBD joint massage bars, I'll post the link below), and as quite an anxious and shy person, particularly around strangers, I prefer to be left alone to find things for myself. So when I'm offered assistance, I just politely decline. No harm done, no assumptions made about what surgery someone might have had, no need to speak to the local press to talk about my 'experience'.

I guess the only difference really in this instance, is that the M&S employee's gender identity 'may not' be the one they were born with. What difference does that make to the transaction really. Why couldn't the woman in the article just say, 'we'll find it, thank you'. Why are trans people, essentially being criminalised.

Considering you went to the trouble to find the post on question I'm surprised you didn't notice that I didn't like it

I don't know if its an issue or trivial. But I've never seen a man be traumatised by being told by a woman assistant where the man's undercrackers are.

The world has gone mad. On a scale of 1-10 this incident, if as seems, is ott i give it a 0. There are people out there who want to make a scene out of nothing. And are embarrassing to both sexes. The store will have apologised as they feel they have to, as the woman decided to tell to all and sundry. Mind-blowing imo.
But I don't agree with Supertykes approach to Helen either. She has a right to her opinion and as a woman entitled to it , whether we agree or not over this incident. I'm also aware of the past history between those two.

You just liked the post further down where he says what his views are on the religion to try back up what he first said. Change it to another religious figure you'd probably have got banned or someone would.

You're right. I did like his post saying that he finds sexual abuse of children by the Catholic church deeply offensive. That's because I agree it is. It is an absolutely massive leap to go from there to me believing that all Catholics are paedos.

I'd also like to state that I find the downloading of child pornography by Barnsley fans deeply offensive but I don't think everyone in the east upper is a paedo. I know that's a daft comparison but you get my point I guess (and I was just reading about Tommy tyke)

OK. Seems odd to do that though, usually M& S has way more female workers in a store.

My mate who is quite a typical butch lesbian says she’s been abused verbally and physically more over the last 2 years than in the previous 15. One of these days she will swing for someone and be the one who ends up in trouble.

Transphobes in the main are attempting to rein in the freedom that the gay community has fought for under the guise of feminism.

I lived in London when the admiral Duncan got bombed and we hung out round and about there a lot. I went to school during the S28 years and they just want to drag us back there.

The story here is nonsense. Someone working on a shop asked someone if they wanted some help. That’s it. That’s the story. Vile.

Another thread going nowhere. Going over old coals. Repeating old arguments with no one ever going to agree to the others opinion. Agree to disagree. End of.

Sorry but I don't think it's the right thing to must agree to disagree when someone is posting false information to further a transphobic agenda. I do understand what you're saying but I'm my opinion it's a bit like saying just agree to disagree with a racist instead of calling them out.
