    • Barnsley Vs. Burton Albion - Sat, Aug 09 2025, 15:00
You asked and we listened! Food and drink prices have been FROZEN for the 2025/26 season at Oakwell.

Ahead of our first home game of the new season this weekend against Burton Albion, we are pleased to confirm that there will be no increase in price for any food or drink sold at Oakwell for the duration of the campaign.

To celebrate, we're offering £5 pints of Madri up until 2:30pm this Saturday as the Reds prepare to face the Brewers!

Furthermore, tickets for this match are just £15 for adults. Let's create a special atmosphere for the opener at Oakwell.

Make sure to get down to Oakwell early this weekend to enjoy our special offer and soak up the atmosphere as we look to kick off our home campaign in style.

“We’re committed to making the matchday experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible for all our supporters,” said CEO Jon Flatman. “Freezing food and drink prices for the season is just one way we’re showing that commitment. With affordable tickets and special offers like the £5 pints this coming Saturday, we want Oakwell to be a place where fans can come together, feel valued, and get behind the team from the first whistle.”

Get your ticket for our Oakwell opener this Saturday via our Box Office, giving us a ring on 01226 211 183 or online by clicking the button below!

Who was asking for prices to be frozen? Ive heard repeated feedback about our offering being way too expensive.

    The gaslighting ********

Can the supporters trust and the fab group please raise this as a pretty serious issue that the club are blatantly lying about what supporters have asked for. Alone it might seem trivial but in the diet context of trust it is absolutely appalling. Jon flatman is a man who no matter what he says in the future on any issue I will assume he is lying because under his watch he has allowed his employees to lie to supporters in an article that he is quoted in.

**** him off and get someone with some moral fibre in instead

Oh and also please ask why they keep breaking advertising law despite being told over and over that they're doing it. It's pathetic and yet again makes me question the competency and moral integrity of club staff.

And there will be some on here blaming for thinking it's **** that the club breaks advertising law routinely

Fiver to drink from a plastic cup stood surrounded by breeze blocks won't entice people from town.

£5 a pint shouldn't be an offer, it should be the very most they're charging. Particularly for something as ghastly as Madri.

What an utterly appalling announcement this is. Nobody asked for food prices to stay the same, unless they've done a poll and taken the opinion of about 3% of people.

This doesn't fill me with much confidence for an improvement in terms of the 'match day experience' for the coming season.

So, after a fan survey made clear that food and drink pricing was obscene, they’ve “listened” by keeping those prices. :D

    You’ve got to laugh.

At least the new FanZone will be open…

I'm not sure what circles the upper echelons of our club move in, but I've never paid £7 for a pint of owt, let alone pretentious Carling.

Even more incentive - if it were needed - to eat & drink in town, then rock up at Oakwell for kick-off.

I can't let with thread pass by without pointing out that Madri is about as Spanish as Henderson's Relish.

It's never been past Burton and is the equivalent of pouring coffee on a Victoria Sponge and calling it fine Italian Tiramasu.
