Yes I am he got to 100 and thought **** it I,ll have some fun now and just thrashed at a ball, his bat went went flying as well.
Don’t get me wrong he,s an amazing player and done wonders for England but just didn’t,t see the need for it,bethall same just thrashing wildly at a ball and getting bowled.
But the flip side was he got all those runs at a quick pace. He'll mature but as long as he scores I'm not getting on his back!
It has been explained to you further up the thread why this was not an option as both sides agree not to use floodlights ( or vice versa ) at the start and due to the visibility of the red ball under the lights. Hence the pink ball for day/night tests. It was always possible it would go 5 days. If you scheduled days 4 and 5 for Sat/Sun it could end it 3. You're hype focusing on a minor issue.
Pressure does crazy things. Bethall definitely lost his wicket to scoreboard pressure rather than a amazing delivery. He's young and inexperienced and that can happen to the best.
Do you know I think they wanted it all over today so they wouldn’t,t have to come back tomorrow and it could backfire on them. The only chance they have is if Oakes can bat but with one arm it’s doubtful.
Exactly mate. I got out on Saturday sweeping a straight ball from a spinner after telling myself repeatedly not to sweep. I’ve no idea what my body was doing when it decided to sweep but it was a really stupid thing for it to do. For me if you are going to watch/play cricket, you have to appreciate both sides or it’s a pretty miserable experience. It’s just wonderful to see 2 sides full of very good players going toe to toe for 5 games. Credit to both sides but especially Siraj who is an absolute warrior.
Scoreboard pressure there was no scoreboard pressure they were strolling it with 3 wickets down, they are now 6 down with a full day left don,t get that argument.
I reckon they won't start due to bad light then rain will take over. The light reading has to remain the same for the whole test match.
No play might suit us. Reckon we could struggle to get the 35 needed, especially with the new ball due soon. Be surprised if there’s no play though. If there is it could easily go either way…..
I’m not right good with weather forecasts but as far as I can see it’s fine now at Kennington with light rain due at lunchtime. It’s not often a start is delayed because of bad light but then again…..
