Brian Blessed lived in Goldthorpe and went to Highgate Junior and Infants school (as I did), later his mum lived in Bolton on Dearne just round the road from us. All three are in the Barnsley Metropolitan area. My dad sometimes saw him when he visited his mum in the 1990s.

Two statues of a Man an a Woman were stood opposite each other for hundreds of yrs an a genie offered em life for 30 minutes, they disappeared into the woods making all kinds of noises, giggling an grunting, after a while they returned, the genie sez youve got 15 minutes left if ya wanna go again, the Statues looked at each other an the Female statue sez, you hold the Pigeon this time an i'll 5hit on it.

About half of Brampton is in Barnsley - certainly up to the Bull's Head roundabout. My bit is in Rotherham though.
