Interesting that Yoganathan starts ahead of Russell. Suggests that Jon might be the midfielder most likely to leave this month - which is not surprising given his contract situation. Great to see so many home-grown / local players in the matchday squad.
First moan of the season, getting it in early Looks like DKD is playing as a winger, which, for me, means one of the best players in the division won't be. He's not as good in that position as he is playing behind a central striker. Although, either Phillips or Yoganathan could be playing as a winger, they've both got it in them, but again, it's not their best position. Four centre backs in a back four is far from ideal but not a lot Conor can do about that. Recruitment problem. The lack of pace scares me, as does the protection they've been afforded. Only Connell can put in a tackle out of all the midfield and forwards. And when our 37 year old centre forward gets tired, we can replace him with... but nothing Conor can do about that either. Plenty of attacking threat, but a paper thin defence. All imho of course. I'm guessing Farrugia is injured.
Any of those front 3 can drop back and make a 442 to tighten up the midfield if need be. Guessing one of those who Connor said had a slight niggle was Russell.. Id take the point now.. ureds
It'll be McGoldrick on the left pal. DKD will be through the middle with Vickers on the opposite site to DMcG.
