Feel extremely sorry for the proper, decent fans. Must be absolutely heartbreaking to watch what's going on, completely powerless to stop it.

But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to them getting spannered 6-0 most weeks.

Got a lot of mates who are Wednesday fans - and feel sorry for them - but the club is reaping what it sowed (and they cheered on)

The fans were loving it when he was spending big, getting Winnall by paying 4 or 5 times what we were paying him, throwing money at Jordan Rhodes, Bannan and the rest.

The truth is they couldn’t afford it then just as much as they can’t afford it now, it’s just come home to roost now Chansiri has stopped throwing his money at it and propping it up.

They started to dislike him when he did stop his spending, they’re getting what they wanted - him out.

They will want the next chairman to do exactly the same thing too - throw loads of money at it - then they’ll blame them too if they decide to stop doing it.

It's not really on my radar to be honest.

Though the wider issue of sustainability has got to be addressed and fans push back on the casino style approach to football administration... Of all clubs, us included.

I can't understand people willing them to go out of business. Imagine how you'd have felt as a kid if Barnsley went bust, and you're wishing that upon thousands of kids. Not to mention the people it will put out of work, local suppliers that will be short changed etc.

I want to see them do poorly, but not to the extent that it harms ordinary folk. I think it's mental to regard them as acceptable collateral damage just because they support a team that plays football in Sheffield rather than in Barnsley.

I remember what their fans were like when we went into admin. And how they were the most vociferous when Derby has issues a couple of years ago.

So nah, **** em. Vote Left.

Somewhere in the middle of the two options. I don't like how the general direction of football finances results in situations like this and I would not want them to go bust. But, if it such shtt has to happen to some club, Wednesday are a good choice. I would hope they scratch on through the season getting whacked every week and going down with a record low points total. Then start next season on minus 30. Keep it going as long as possible. It's funny. But go bust - nah.

I think the reason I am enjoying it now is because I just know it's temporary. Someone will buy them soon, it's nailed on. And then they will be on for the champions league in 4 seasons again.

Didn't mind Wednesday as a kid - we played them and there was that rivalry but I wasn't in contact with any of their fans on a daily basis. From what I recall we didn’t have any Wednesday fans in school. There were a few Liverpool , Utd fans and because they were successful at that time a couple of Evertonians.

My feelings on Wednesday changed when I went to Barnsley sixth form and did A Level Sport Studies. Our teacher was a man called Robin Wray - who wasn't only a fan of Wednesday but a mate of Howard Wlkinson and was also their youth coach. He was insufferable and he had two sidekicks in the class who were also fans. Really disliked them from that point. Having said that I wouldn't like them to go under but it will be fun seeing them suffer on the pitch

Enjoy it while you can, for the misery that it inflicts on the ( majority) of knobhead fans that follow them, because you know deep down it will probably end ( like many of our away games at the slum) with them coming up smelling of roses after a multi million pound takeover and them talking about taking over Europe again!

I would like, for once, the FA/Football League to come down on Wednesday* and limit their playing budget to 50% of their income (gate receipts/TV money/Money from the FA cup/outgoing transfer fees/etc.). The other 50% should be used to taxes and to pay back any debts they've run up - and until those are all settled, even if its £25 to B&Q for some rust paint, they can't spend anything extra. No paying transfer fees, no loan fees, etc.

Make them live within their means for as long as it takes to get back on track. If they have to have a team of Under-21s, scholars and non-league journeymen who are beaten 27-0 every week, then sobeit.

*See also Morecambe and any other club that falls on financial hard times - even us.

Sympathy for the decent fans amongst them, the hard working and loyal workforce behind the scenes. But there’s nothing stopping them from finding other employment and the fans, they ought to have been mass protesting and forcing this **** out years ago. Yet they don’t. It’s not like this is brand new. The bloke has pillocked them for years.

When I say “f*** them” or “viva Chansiri”, I’m doing so tongue in cheek. And not once have I suggested that I hope they fold or whatever.

    What will be will be.

Don’t really want them to go out of business but a couple of relegations would do nicely.

It’s one of the few positive things that’s happening in the world right now.

Can’t think of a set of fans that deserve it more tbh. The people that are saying their fans are sound, you might have met a minority that are…..but my brother in Christ, are you not remembering the countless times the majority of their fanbase have been ***** ?
