Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Max Watters has joined Dundee United on a season-long loan, subject to clearances. He’s certainly not as bad as some players we’ve had, but he’s not grabbed opportunity and obviously had multiple niggly injuries. I hope he does well and the penny drops. A bit ironic we need to trim a keeper, centre halves and midfielders while being desperate for a right sided defender and a striker. We must have a striker signing imminent given our central striking options are now Dallas and McGoldrick.
Well I hope he smashes it. Then we extend his stay & sell him on for some coin back. I'm guessing that's the thinking. Good luck Max. Nice lad, worked hard, just didn't work out here.
You probably should consider DKD a striker since he will continue playing there mate, but I agree with your point - we need someone through the door!
If our owner is so adamant that our squad is top 3 or 4 and it was only the manager who was holding us back why is he now shipping out as many of the starting 11 as he can?
Perhaps he's made them aware of their misguidings? We should be happy. Hopefully they follow it up with some good signings now mate. Edit - no idea if misguidings is a word. But it sounds right...
