Me too Kev ,but sometimes the money can't be sniffed at when we're Skint..
Rather get a fee than let em walk free.

But it's another club with no infrastructure and new money - disaster waiting to happen.

When the guy took over he made it clear he wasn’t going to throw money at it due to spending restrictions and was going to focus on developing the youth sides, you can see that thought process in action with who they appointed as the head of football.
Not saying they won’t spend money but making out they are going to go mad a la Birmingham is just lazy journalism.

Keep the better players and gradually get rid of the Sormaz-inspired kak. Will take a while after at least 2 seasons of crap-building but, at the moment, I think Connell is one of our better players so Id keep him unless the bid is silly. He's also got decent contract time on him. Keep Connell and DKD and get rid of others if at all possible. Board need to show resolve, bollux and intent for a change.

I read that Neerav interview again and he didn't say the club were skint or going to stop spending. It just needed to try and stop hemorrhaging money and the best way to recoup that was through player sales. The offers had to be right too.

    He didn't guarantee anything.

Twisting truth? I’ve no dog in the fight. Sell them all for all I care.

I kept seeing posts about how only Luca gets a foot in. So I posted the stat. Jon Russell, an attacking midfielder attempts and successfully completes more tackles.

I wouldn’t have Russell holding midfield. But we could do much better than Connell.

    I agree.

I agree, Jon is better served going forward.

I wouldn’t start with Bland. Decent utility bench player at this stage.

They barely get 5k at home, prior to his arrival their record transfer fee was 300k, if Connell goes then he's broken the record fee three times in the last 12 months. They're not a big enough club to sustain million pounds transfers fees in the third tier. There's a few clubs going to come crashing down soon - one of those are already in our division this season after successive relegations.

I don’t think it’s a good time to sell him.

I get the feeling this is one of those transfers where we’ve stuck through a bad patch (which was no fault of his or ours) only to get him back up to speed and sell him so someone else can benefit.

He’s got ages on his contract, central to what we do, a good character, and finally in a position where we might be able to get a proper tune out of him, as we’ve seen before.

Unless we’re that desperate for cash now, I think to get the most out of the player and potentially maximise his value, I’d be looking to keep him at least another season.
