I'd hold firm at £1.5 million. This current board structure has many, many faults, but selling cheap isn't actually one of them thankfully.

 

If Kitchin went for 4million then 1.5 million is a giveaway

 

What you saying? In recent times we've done good for transfer fees.

 

Said something similar on the thread when it came out we rejected their first bid. Would not like to see us sell him to a team in our division unless for daft money.

I like Connell and he’s our only midfielder that sticks a foot in.

I know we need to get funds into the club but in the last few years we have significantly weakened the defence, then we weakened the attacking options and now we it appears we will be weakening the midfield.

 

Accept it

Use some of the money on koroma and 1 or 2 other freebies wages.

 

I think £2-3M is fair. £1.2M is pants down.

 

I believe Kitching had longer left on his contract than Connell has. And let's not forget the seasons they were coming off the back of also.

Connell of the last two seasons is worth what they're offering unfortunately, otherwise there'd be a bidding war going on for him and the rumoured fee would be higher I'm sure.

 

If koroma has turned us down then clearly not ars*d about coming, we've signed enough chancers, Conor has said repeatedly he wants players here that want it and are hungry

Smells of Wycombe chancing a cheeky bid knowing our financial position, no doubting Connell hasn't been the same player, but still a 2m player on his day, contract wise we are OK with Connell, would make more sense to cash in on Russell whilst his stock is high and Hope connell turns things around

 

And our record fee is still 1.2 million.

 

But isn’t that because we can’t afford any more?
I wouldn’t like to see us paying any more than we can afford - that would surely be the quickest way to ruin.

 

We've received big fees over the years for players and sell ons. Unfortunately I think at times we opted for quantity over quality.

 

But surely the big fees have been necessary to keep the club afloat in a league that doesn’t reep the riches of the Championship. It’s not like the board are pocketing the fees.
Unfortunately the speculation on quantity doesn’t always pay off - it’s the nature of the beast I’m afraid.

 

Any updates on Koroma deal ?

 

Unfortunately it’s Connell they are after and not Russell pal.

 

I think connell would be easier to replace than Russell Phillips or dkd.

 

Probably, although I don't see a slot in the team next season for an advanced midfielder in a 433 unless its a diamond midfield not sure pal tbf.
