Very highly thought of at WBA, so much so that they offered him another contract. Sounds like he's turned it down as he wants regular football. On a free, definitely sounds like a worthwhile punt.

I know anyone can look good on these things (see odejayi) but looks quick and very direct but has the physicality to go with it.

 

I think even if we signed a prime Messi, salah and haaland there would be people on here slaying them

 

I'd prefer Tovide (who was linked previously) but this lad's been well thought of for a couple of years. Saw a bit of Hartlepool last season, looked levels above that division.

 

He's exactly the type of player we should be in the market for, very talented and young enough to turn into a player that would deliver the club a return.
We can't afford oven ready players but that doesn't mean players of his calibre are s*hit because I can assure you he isn't.
It's just lazy to presume every player is pap because they are young, if you don't know much about him fair enough, doest make him a poor signing though, this kid is the real deal.

 

If I remember Devante Cole was a free signing.
That didn't turnout too bad .
There's no risk at all in a free signings,in comparison to what we paid the likes of Benson Kane Watters etc .

All I've seen is some lad on X suggest that we should try to get this lad, followed by an article written by someone whose likely seen the the same post I did and decided to write a few inches on it.

Can't see it being this lad or Tovide. From what I can see Cleary is mainly a winger.

Tovide is a proper number 9 that on occasion has been pushed out wide.

 

Watched him play Halifax at the Shay, scored the only goal of the game, very very talented boy, got great feet and control and thrives on just running at defenders.
Be a very good signing if we pull it off
