Bagged again in the CONCACAF game against Guadeloupe.

Even though the American commentator has said he was on loan this last season at Accrington. Wouldn’t surprise me if it happened this coming season mind, with this board.

Definitely think he might be sold. In his last year and no way will he extend.

Crikey mate, who do you rate lol?
Got better as season went on and finished with 10 goals didn’t he? If he follows Humphrys that’ll be 19 goals gone and DKD certain to leave too.
    What a state we’ll end up in…..

I'd rather we got shut of some defenders who cost us week in week out starting with mdg.

First part not many the board have systematically downgraded the squad quality over the last few years, quite bizarre that we are losing so much money with rubbing rag players.
He definitely got better but that wasn’t hard 80% of his time here so far he doesn’t look like he’s actually played football before.

Russell is much better in an advanced position as a goal threat, and he’s offering much more to the team since we realised this.

If he won’t commit to a new contract though then I think the club would be fools not to cash in.

There’s a failure culture in the team from last season, and the more new faces the better in terms of changing the mentality.

You don't rate a 24 year old midfielder with 8 goals in his last 10 games, who hasn't reached his prime yet?

While some of your observations about how abject our players were last season were spot on, I think you're way wide of the mark here. As long as he doesn't have any defensive responsibilities, Russell is absolute quality at this level.

One of our few salable assets going into his last year, think he’ll be gone before the season starts if we get any near decent offers.

Like I’ve said said when he can be bothered he’s decent, not sure where his best position is but the rest of the time he winds me up strolling about, tippy tapping around not getting stuck in.

Well apart from DKD and a few of the young ens there’s nobody I’m overly bothered about, Earl, Cotter at a push then I’m at a loss to think of anyone else

If we're wanting to play high energy, fast, high press football next season then Russell just isn't the player for that at all.

He's got technique, you can't knock him for that. But he's got less pace than my Dad and you cannot have a single weak link when you press how I assume CH is wanting us to.

I'd sell him while his stock is high and commands a fee.

He’s putting himself in the spotlight a bit and if he won’t sign a new deal then hopefully he’s added a few quid to his fee.

I wouldnt let him run down his contract. Sign up or sell.

And if, as is to be understood, CH is looking for quicker transitions and faster paced play, whilst he’s a good player in possession in advanced areas (not so much at the other side but we’ve argued that plenty before), then he might not be the best suited player for that. Better to cash in and get someone in with attributes that better suit - if that’s what CH is looking to do of course.

It was going well until you got to "Get someone in" then it kinda went wonky.

Although I'm in agreement with regards his pace, he gets us goals and if we lose DKD and Phillips, as expected, who's replacing the goals, cos it ain't Watters.
