There are certain players over the years who could be anonymous for 85 mins, but win a game in 5. Glavin, Redders, Hignett, Currie, Hammill, even Conor H. Players who could simultaneously have you tearing your hair out or reaching orgasm in the same passage of play.
I'm not saying Humphrys was fit to lace their boots, but he is the closest we've had to that effect.
Mark my words if he hits the ground running, in his right position, he will tear L1 up. I fully appreciate if Alexander decides to stick him in nets, or play him as a target man, then SH may revert to type. But it seems having a gaffer in place for over one calendar year might prevent that eventuality.

I'm really peeved at this. We're talking ST refund territory.

I agree , granted it could have gone either way and he might have gone back to missing way more chances than he converts, BUT the big problem is, that apart from Connor most of us have zero confidence in the powers that be at the club to even identify a decent target let alone fking sign one!

    There’s a theme occuring here:
Phillips goes missing and if doesn’t score does **** all
SH doesn’t turn up for half the games
Russell doesn’t turn up for half the games
DKD goes missing and if doesn’t score does **** all.

Is that a coaching issue, a recruitment issue or an expectation issue or something else.

No, it's that outside the Elite, most players cannot turn it on at 100% every single game.

    We're not elite.

I'd rather take SH for 10 decent games than Clem Rodrigues for 42.

Call me old fashioned, I enjoy football.

You can't put Humphs in same category as Glavin and the likes.
He's average player at best signed for free from Wigan .
Who just signed for newly promoted BCFC .
Yeagh probably better than we have at the minute, but just like when Norwood left ,lost very little sleep.
Half arsed most of the season.
