Because Iran are seen as not just a threat to the ‘West’ they are/were on the verge of nuclear weapons capability, Britain has other ‘interests’ in the Middle East. The tragedy that’s unfolded in Palestine through the brutality of Israel’s response to the brutal attacks by Hamas was not going to affect Britain in the way that the developing situation with Iran will do. I believe all countries should speak up about the Genocide in Gaza, but we’re on another level now with Iran. Let’s not forget Britain see Hamas as a terrorise organisation so it would be hypocritical to become involved. What I’m alluding to is that whatever Britain has or hasn’t done seems to be ‘endorsed’ by the opposition parties. If it’s not then why aren’t they saying anything?

I think that all countries that have nuclear weapons should be bombed the **** out of as punishment. I'll start with the UK. It's only fair right. Wouldn't want to be seen as hypocrites here would we

I’m not being hypocritical, Iran has threatened to use theirs ( when they eventually get them) on basicallly anyone who they see as ‘friends’ of Israel.

Given Biden had no influence over the Israeli psychopath, I’m not sure what influence people think a tiny little island has over them.

There is no evidence of this. Their uranium enrichment process can only get up to about 60% U235, enough for civil nuclear power, but over 90% is required for spontaneous fission, ie to make a bomb. Naturally occurring uranium is 99% U238 which is non-fissile. The other 1% is mostly U235. This means to make a bomb you need many tons of natural uranium to get just a small quantity of U235. The process of enriching is far from easy since the two atoms are very close in atomic wight and the centrifuge process has to separate these atoms based on their relative atomic weights. It took the USA decades to create a mass of U235 of sufficient concentration for a weapon.

This is just WMD 2, I hope Starmer is stronger than Blair was.
