Would have I liked O'Connor here? Absolutely. Do I think I'd have liked him on a 4 year deal? Absolutely not. Yes he's in prime years of his career but you're paying for someone for the here and now who also doesn't really have any sell on value. He's never been above L1 properly and that's a long term commitment for someone who may not be able to step up to championship level. On a 2 year deal with option of a 3rd he'd have been a good pick up. A 4 year deal is a bit mad in my opinion. Same with the long deals Blackpool have handed to the two centre backs they've signed.
I watched all last season not just the last 7 games. I think he was very over rated. Rotherham away absolutely gash, might aswell come sat with me. Gets subbed has his name chanted. Some fans are easily pleased.

Never said he was perfect, far from it. Can’t deny he was a lot better on the left in a 433 though. I just expect that his replacement will be a downgrade, they usually are, which is why we are where we are.
It definitely isn’t written in that manner. Certainly not intentionally. Especially with some of the absolute clangers we’ve dropped in regards to signings in the last 30 years.
It is a fact, we also don't have a pot to piss in due to financial suicide by those currently running the club. A bloated squad containing some absolute ***** that could take at least another 12 months to rectify. I won't be surprised if we see 3 departures before making a signing.
Surely the last position we would look to recruit in our position is a CB. We’re probably moving to a back 4, and already have too many. We also need to give a chance to Shepherd (obviously) and Lopata as they both had good seasons and are already our players. Makes zero sense unless we can sell at least 2 of our current crop. Budget needs to be committed elsewhere, starting with up front.
Dare I say someone like Jed Steer or Adam Davies would be perfect. Someone who can start as number 1 in August.. and the say to the other young keepers.. 'its up to you to take the position off me..
Rob Edwards just gone in there. With what he achieved at Luton I'm glad he's got another job at a decent level.. infact Boro is a upgrade from Luton.. DKD from up that way, sorry to see him go but would be a ideal move..

To be fair Arch.. an attacking player who scored 18 goals with no pens.. should be attracting plenty of attention from the league above. All be down to price now.
