The amount of bile aimed at Southgate during his tenure, but at least he gave us a team that we dared to believe could win something. A hair's breadth away v Italy, and a Final v Spain. Something we hadn't seen for nearly 60 years. And people still had the man over a barrel.

England is truly backwards. Not happy unless we're moaning, and the complaints are usually because something is good.

We're always happy if something's s**t because we're comfortable with that. If something is properly good it's always met with suspicion or downright, self-destructive hatred.

They're probs unhappy on account of Tuchel slating them publicly. Whereas under Southgate, he always stuck up for them, even after a bad show.

Very strange to slag the players off and so early in his tenure, we all know how it goes when the coach blames the players in public……

We’ve gone from Southgate - who was a brilliant orator and protected his players and staff excellently, but who was a bit too careful and defensive tactically, to Thomas Tuchel. Who is every bit as benign and careful tactically as has been shown in all of his previous roles - but who is also a prickly character in interviews, more than happy to throw players and coaches under the bus to save his own skin - and who hasn’t lasted much more than two years in any job he’s had - if that - as he’s pissed off everyone, above him and below…

He’s also ruined what at least looked like a happy and content ‘club England’ environment in two camps. Nobody looks like they want to play for him or England.

Well done Thomas. And well done FA. Stellar work.

A lot of money spend this weekend, to watch that.

look the players are on holiday, they shouldn’t be playing at this time of year. But that aside, I’m not having this manager. Twice today in the first half Harry Kane held his hands up to indicate for him to calm down, shouting at the players at any opportunity. I noticed him doing it in Barcelona too, it’s not called for and not needed.

Personally, I loved what Southgate built and I was gutted to see him go, I’m still all for giving this manager a go but I’m worried he’s going to burn what Southgate took years to build if the players don’t have him.

No matter whos in charge nothing will change with regards the England style of play until they get shut of the old Fa*ts pulling the strings behind the scenes...and allow the manager free rein,

One has to consider that the players aren't what they're cracked up to be.

We needed a change from Southgate, though the abuse he got was mental.

I said at the time when we appointed him, I think he is decent. I think he's a good knockout/cup manager even if his football is dire at times.

But some of his selections are baffling. Walker, Henderson, not selecting Wharton, playing a midfielder in Jones at RWB and playing one of the worlds best right backs at left back... I know he wasnt manager at the time, but look how it worked out with Trippier playing at left back. Some bizarre decisions.

Ofcourse its far too early to sack him, if someone genuinely thinks we should, they're nuts. But hasn't been great viewing. Agent Tuchel perhaps...

We are the only team in international football that will go through 1,457 players between tournaments, never known a team "experiment" so much with players - no wonder we never win owt, it's comes to tournaments and they're like strangers.

I wish we would experiment more instead of taking players like Walker & Henderson. Back to old days of picking names instead of merit.

I've defended Southgate till I'm blue in the face. Our second best manager ever. United the players. Stood up to the racists. Gave us some amazing results in major tournaments.

Yet "anyone else would be winning with this squad".

Doesn't look like it does it.

Can’t judge him yet so won’t do. I’ll wait till End of July 26 to do that.

Poor performances, took a while to beat Andorra and last night was obviously an experiment. Players obviously are either at Club World Cup this weekend or on their holidays. I just felt for the ppl who paid money to watch. A lot of money to part with to watch professional footballers play football at 60% and try their best not to get injured. The problem tho is that fixture being played in June.

I don’t think the players or manager seemed overly concerned with last nights result. I personally don’t either. It’s a fixture that just isn’t needed anymore with the amount of games they now all have to go through.

I think he knows that from September, he needs to find his strategy and stick with it with the same nucleus of players with an exception of possibly bringing in a couple of standouts who perform well next season.

I switched it off last night as it just felt like one of those games that Man Utd play at end of season to appease the masses over in Asia. A bit pointless. They are professionals tho and shouldn’t lose that game.

A big over reaction tho for me from everyone. We don’t know if he’s the right man yet. He doesn’t want sacking just because he’s had 2x poor “end of the season” results. If he really wanted to win that game 100% then he’d have put out a much stronger team. He wanted to experiment tho instead. Nothing wrong with that at this stage.

I will probably get a lot that wanna “bang” me down on here but I’m big enough to post this so fire away.

Just because you are top level club coach doesn't make you a top level international manager. Can you imagine all them egos in one place for a very small amount of time. Motivating young multi millionaires to play a match with nothing on it they could barely be bothered for a game to qualify for a world cup. They don’t want to be there they want to be on a luxury holiday.

Walker’s finished. His biggest asset was his pace & it’s gone (or certainly isn’t what it was).

There’s no need for him to be there.

Trent & James are both fit.

I think Livramento’s going to the U21’s which is probably why he was wasn’t in the squad but going forwards we don’t need more than two right backs in a squad & Walker shouldn’t be one of them.

Walker and Henderson should be done now. It's not as if we don't have players fighting for their positions.

Some players whilst good club players don't look to be international standard yet.

Worth considering that of last nights starting 11 there was no Pickford TAA James Stones Guehi Shaw Bellingham Foden Palmer Rashford Watkins.

But to judge the last 2 matches I'd say it was way below the expected standard regardless of who started and who was missing.

Was poor but should of been 2-2 before 3-1 var absolute ***** as per usual. Never deliberate handball in a million years. Perfectly gd goal cancelled. Var is a shambles.

Should be for offside and red cards only. Re reffin the game and looking a minute before a goal for it be disallowed. Celebrating a goal for it to be disallowed 4 mins later.

Football ain't the same anymore it's alot lot worse

I liked Gareth but definitely thought we’d got stuck in a rut with him. He did well but there’s always a ceiling.

I still back Tuchel and still think he will do well in the month long tournament setting. However, these 2 games have been beyond poor. Both tactically and selection wise.

I think that’s the weakest, most inexperienced back 4 I’ve seen for England.

Walker is over the hill now, most of his game was based around pace and recovery.

If we are to play a back 4 the fullbacks need to be stronger. You can’t play wingbacks without either an experienced back 3 or a very regimented CDM and not expect to get hammered by balls down the channels.
